ROYAL CASINO

Wanna Play Some POKER...??? Then Welcome to Royal Casino....

It's our first UV mapping texture assignment. Sir gave us the model. We were supposed to make design and give it texture. This model of casino included some Pokerchips, Cards and Dices. But the trickiest part was to get the proper UV map. So I started with the Pokerchip.

First select the object, in Polygon menu go to Create UVs >  Planar mapping options.

In the Planar mapping options > select the Y-axis > mark the keep image width/height ratio > Project.

This is the UV map of the pokerchip.

Then selecting the Center edge loop I cut it off into two equal parts by using UV texture editor > Polygons > Cut UV Edges tool.

Then by selecting the UV Shell I unfolded and relaxed the UV by using  the tool called Smooth UV tool from the Tool menu.

Now the UV is ready. Assign a new material to the object and go to the Rendering menu and press the Create PSD network.

In this menu box first we have to give the proper name to the file. Then select the Open Adobe Photoshop option so that photoshop will open directly as we press the create button. Then set the resolution in Size X & Size Y. Next part is in Attribute selection. Select the requirements. the color and Bump is needed. So i selected it and press Create button.

Now the Photoshop will be opened automatically (If you forgot to mark the Open Adobe Photoshop in Maya, the PSD file will be in the source images) with defferent groups for color and Bump. Here we have to show our creativity and artistic work. Once the work is done. Save different files for color and bump as a TIFF image.

Go back to Maya and assign the images for color and bump. Ya....now the Casino is ready to play. Give some lights and render it.

This is the UVs of Card and the dice.

                         Same planar mapping is done.

Firstly automatic mapping is done and then selecting the faces on the object plannar mapping is done to get the neat and texturable UVs.

Here are some Rendered output of my work. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
