WOODEN TOY RIG

                       Hi friends.....I'm back with another rigging assignment. This time more than just applying tools and commands, we have to use our brain much to get the rig ready. 

                 So firstly we are asked to design a simple wooden toy which works with Automata  mechanism. So we took reference of Automata models. I selected the Cat and mouse model, in which the cat tries to catch the circularly running mouse. After done with the simple model, I started the Rigging process.....😅😅😅

                         So my model needed only 2 Control curves. One for the rotation of the Crank -> crank control & a COG control. The crank curve will be orient constrained to the crank.


                           The crack control will be orient constrained to the crank in the X-axis. Since we don't need any other attributes, we can lock and hide it.


                             The gears will be driven through the Expression. Since both the gear have the same no of teeth, Driven_gear.rotateY = -Driver_gear.rotateX will made it work.


                          In this model the hand of the cat should be lifted before the mouse comes and should hit the ground just as it missing the mouse. The comma (,) shaped disk will do the work if we set the Driven key to it.



                            The oval shaped disk will lift the Tail periodically. It also be connected to the Set Driven Key.



                          Finally after clearing the outline it will look like this.
